Day 1: Arrive in Ulaanbaatar

The first day of your arrival you will learn about the history of Mongolia and get a tour of the city. You will have a personal guide who can help you find your way and give you any information you may need.

Day 2: Khusvgul Trek

The second day, be prepared for a long journey to Khuvsgul, one of the most beautiful places in Mongolia. You will meet your host nomad family and they will give you an idea of what you guys will be doing during your stay.

Day 3-6: Live As A Nomad

This is where it gets fun. For these 4 days you will spend your time as a nomad learning how to live as a nomad, understanding the way of life and putting yourself in the shoes of Mongolian nomads and farmers.

You will have the opportunity to herd the flock of sheep and goats, ride horses, milk mares and cows, catch calves, sheering sheep, making  collecting animal dung to prepare the fire for the stove, chopping wood etc.

It is an advantage if you know how to cook or perhaps a chef, but you will learn how to make Mongolian foods and dishes regardless such as buuz, fermented milk, tarag/yoghurt, aaruul.
The schedules for these days will depend on your host family and what they need help with, so it may vary person to person.

Day 7: Goodbye Ceremony

This is your last day as a nomad. After taking down your own yurt, you will say your farewells to your host family and hold a celebration. Hope you can hold in the tears because it will be a bittersweet feeling for everyone.

Road to the site of Manzchir where are the remains of a very important lamasserie built in the eighteenth century. It was almost completely destroyed in the 30s during communist spurges; and is being rebuilt in recent years. Built on a rocky outcrop, it overlooks a beautiful valley surrounded by small pine forests and streams.

Day 8: Return Flight

Return to Ulaanbaatar in the afternoon.
